Shoreham, Ropetackle Arts Theatre 2 July: The Great Post Office Cover-Up

On Thursday 2nd July I will be delivering my first (and so far only) public talk this year on the Post Office scandal. It will be at the Ropetackle Arts Theatre in Shoreham-by-Sea and I’m very much looking forward to it.

A lot has happened since we did that run of dates in 2024. I have written another book (the as-yet-unpublished The Great Post Office Cover-Up), which has given me a whole new insight into the scandal, and I am looking forward to sharing those insights with you, if you can make it down to the South Coast.

You can buy the tickets here: https://ropetacklecentre.co.uk/events/nick-wallis-the-great-post-office-cover/

… and if you would like a 20% discount on your purchase, put POST20 in the discount code box when it comes to checkout. The evening starts and 7pm and we’ll be done by 9pm, but I will be very happy to hang around afterwards to chat in the bar/foyer, which will stay open after the main bit is over.

The plan for the evening is to cover the basics – there will be some people who don’t know the exact chronology of the scandal – then I’ll put some meat on those bones with some of the truly jaw-dropping stuff which was going on inside government and the Post Office whilst they were denying there was a problem – the cover-up, from the inside, in real time. Then I am going to leave plenty of time for the Q&A (which always got a little squeezed on previous outings) so that I can answer any burning questions you might have about what went wrong, who is responsible and why no one has yet been properly held to account for their actions.

Shoreham is a lovely town – with two Post Offices (owned by Sami Sabet) which were directly affected by the Horizon IT scandal. If you live some distance away I would recommend making a day, or even a weekend of it. If you can’t make it, I’d be deeply grateful if you would consider sharing the above link with anyone you know who lives nearby. I’m always up for making new friends and talking to new audiences. See you soon!
